Michael heads up our Liability & Property division and is responsible for client management and adherence to required service levels.
Michael has over 11 years experience handling UK liability claims in the company market, including EL, PL, Products Liability and Property damage claims. This experience includes handling both direct and reinsurance claims on both a national and international basis (Michael also has good commercial property experience, particularly in the Marine & Energy arenas).
Whilst at Capita, Michael was heavily involved with ATE legal expenses business. Michael was involved in both the 'vetting' process (ensuring prospective claims had a greater than 50% chance of success) and ensuring generally that the panel firms were adhering to their Solicitors Management Agreements.
Michael has been involved in audit work across the UK which includes the claims and underwriting processes of other service providers, including; loss adjusters, underwriting agencies and insurance companies.
Michael also has a solid understanding of the application and working practices within the After The Event (ATE) Legal Expenses insurance market.
In 2008, Michael was seconded to DCS' Asia Pacific office in Sydney where he spent several months gaining knowledge of liability claims within the Australian market.
