- Matt is the DCS ‘guru’ regarding the ECF initiative within the London Market.
- Day to day responsibility for client management and liaison for a number of DCS’ high profile clients.
- Assisted in the recent tender and revision of a client’s solicitor panel.
- Experience in handling several substantial claims against Insurance Brokers, Surveying practices, Construction Professionals and Financial Advisors.
- Extensive knowledge of Financial Institutions products, including endowments, pensions, TEP’s, investments products and more recently the events surrounding the collapse of Lehman and Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander.
- More recently involved in claims notifications arising from the sub prime lending crisis and the Madoff fraud.
- Excellent working relationships with Lloyd’s and London Market Insurers as well as a number of Law Firms.

- Over 12 years Professional Indemnity claims experience dealing with a range of professions including IFA’s, Surveyors, Accountants, Architects, Construction Professionals and Insurance Brokers. Experience of handling claims from first advice to settlement both on the broking and underwriting side.
- Management of a clients UK SME portfolio.
- Management of a clients Executive Assurance portfolio including PI, D&O & FI.
- Eight years experience in handling Directors’ & Officers and Financial Institutions claims, both UK and International.
- Several years experience in handling Bankers Blanket Bond claims emanating from South America and Europe, from first advice to settlement.
- Regular use of ADR and Mediation to resolve claims including attendance at market meetings on behalf of Underwriters on large cases with other representatives from the Insurance market.
- Administered the run-off for a syndicate’s Cash in Transit and Fine Art accounts.
- One of the senior members of the Audit Team and has been involved in a number of claims audits of various delegated authorities.
