Beazley
- Syndicate 623
Beazley has focused
on writing special risk business since
it began underwriting in 1986. Classes
of business include Professional Liability,
D & O, Specialist Contingency, and
Financial Institutions, most of which
is written in a lead capacity. Beazley
is a single Syndicate Managing Agency
with a current underwriting capacity of
£126Million. The Active Underwriter
is Andrew Beazley.
DCS have been administering
the claims arising from Beazley’s
U.K Professional Indemnity portfolio since
the company’s inception in May 1998
and in particular, have assisted in the
finalisation of their involvement in a
U.K based Professional Indemnity underwriting
agency.

Mitsui
Sumitomo Insurance (MSILM) established
Syndicate 3210 in 2000. Syndicate 3210
writes professional liabilities; property
and casualty; marine cargo and specie;
construction and engineering and motor
fleet business predominantly for UK and
European domiciled companies (no domestic
US business).
MSILM’s ability to
write cross-class programmes enables them
to provide a broad range of conventional
and non-conventional insurance solutions.
DCS have been administering
the claims for Syndicate 3210’s
international professional indemnity claims
since its inception.

Insurance Company (Europe) Ltd.
is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arch Capital
Group Ltd., a Bermuda-based company that
provides insurance and reinsurance on
a worldwide basis through its wholly owned

Formed in May 2004, Arch
Europe is authorised and regulated by
the Financial Services Authority, and
provides specialised property and casualty
insurance programmes to a wide range of

Non-Marine Syndicate 510
is a division of Kiln, an international
insurance and reinsurance group which
is one of the largest agencies trading
in Lloyd’s.
The Non-Marine Division,
headed by Bill Rendall the Active Underwriter,
consists of four divisions based in Lloyd’s
of London (link) underwriting Reinsurance,
Property & Special Lines, Accident
& Health and Professional & Financial
Risks.
DCS has been assisting Kiln
Non-Marine since November 1998 in the
administration of claims attaching to
their Professional Indemnity Account.
The account is primarily U.K based but
also has a significant overseas exposure.

Robin Simon is a leading insurance defence
firm with 4 UK offices and a strong international
outlook.
The team at Robin
Simon provides legal services and advice
to the London and North American insurance
markets and includes lawyers qualified
in a number of jurisdictions, including
the US. The firm acts only for insurers
and re-insurers and its areas of specialism
include Professional Indemnity, Directors
& Officers and Financial Institutions,
Re-insurance and Coverage litigation,
Employment practices litigation, and Policy
drafting and advice.
Robin Simon’s
offices are in London, Birmingham, Leeds
and Manchester.
DCS has enjoyed a
long-established relationship with Robin
Simon, permitting DCS to draw on a wealth
of legal expertise whilst keeping down
the expenditure on legal advice. The relationship
also enables DCS to provide legal help
lines to policyholders of certain of its
clients.

Walsh
PI
Walsh PI was established in October 1998
to provide an expert and cost effective
loss adjusting service to the professional
indemnity insurance market in the UK.
Initially specialising
in construction related professional indemnity
claims, Walsh PI now deals with a variety
of professions including Engineers, Design
& Construct Contractors, Architects,
Insurance Brokers, Loss Adjusters, Surveyors,
Property Managers and Agricultural Agents.
As a small company,
Walsh PI is able to offer insurers and
intermediaries personal attention to claims
whilst remaining sensitive to the needs
of the policyholder and his business.
Walsh PI have developed
ties with specialists and experts in many
fields who can assist in bringing complex
claims to a satisfactory conclusion for
all concerned parties. Practising in a
specialist field has allowed Walsh PI
to develop close business relationships,
which ease resolution of the sensitive
issues that inevitably arise and allow
them to respond to the changing market
and legal framework.
Walsh PI is based
in Leeds and operates throughout the UK.
